I don’t know about you but I cannot stand the major concert ticket websites. My major beefs include poor navigation, impossible registration process, and bad customer support. Some prime offenders include livenation, Ticketmaster, and stubhub.
Being that I am a huge fan of music, I decided to look for alternate concert ticket sites. I have been looking all over for tickets to see The Spill Canvas and Augustana and couldn’t find them anywhere. I then stumbled upon a cool concert tickets site called concerttheatertickets.com. I highly recommend them to any concert goer that is frustrated with the concert ticket “big boys”. They also have a section solely devoted to Theater Tickets. I’m not a huge fan of the theater but if quality tickets is what you are looking for, concerttheatertickets.com is the place to be.

I hate the ticket sites too. I just never feel like I know what I’m getting after I order from them. After the whole process I feel like I just got into a car accident.

I never liked by tickets all together. I never have like music much. But from knowledge, those sites are pretty lame too!

I don’t get the whole Nofollow thing - I mean, people want others to comment on their blog, giving them content, but they’re not prepared to give the commenter something in return. Seems a bit selfish to me

I think it’s only been in these past couple of years that internet ticket jerks have been messing with us fans. I didn’t used to notice it before. And I too have been on the search for good sites that aren’t all about the art of scam. Another good suggestion is registering on your particular favorite artists site. They usually have the first scoop on show dates and sometimes you can even enter a competition to get some good seats. There are concierge services that people can join that take away the hard part of finding good tickets. The bad news is I have no idea where to find that kind of good service. If anyone has a suggestion, I am up for it.

Another suggestion is to register for email from your favorite bands’ sites and they usually send you the latest concert info.

Definitely the big ticket suppliers have to improve their service, otherwise concerttheatertickets.com can be# 1 option for the most wanted tickets.

You know, I am glad that someone else is fed up with some of these companies as well. Buying concert tickets is an extremely unenjoyable process. What really takes the mick out of me is the extra fees that they add on, just to print me a little piece of paper and mail it to me, but they call it a $10 handling fee or something.
I might have to check out the concerttheatertickets website when my season of concerts comes rolling around.
Cheers!

The Ticketmaster site is a usability nightmare - and even worse from a screen reader. Thanks for the pointer towards a more accessible site -

One of the tricks they use on some ticket sites is to claim the tickets are sold out to increase the value.
